Trust and safety.
Women’s femininity meant to put a man at ease, ends up putting him on guard.
He’s relaxed.
Then paranoid from being too relaxed.
She’s confused. Aren’t we having a good time?
That’s exactly it. Too good of a time.
He gets defensive. He becomes distant. He thinks there’s a motive.
It’s nothing to do with what she “wants” its how she moves. And the irony is she isn’t plotting like he thinks.
She’s embodied.
He doesn’t know what to think. What to make of it. How to understand it.
Confused and unsure. His reaction is to backpedal and throw his suspicions back on her.
A woman’s Embodiment and Agency is Lethal.
But only for those who insist on predictability to feel in control.
This is a friendly reminder.
It’s more about him and less about you.
Discussing a niche topic of trust and safety. Men not trusting feminine women because of how foreign the experience is. In this episode I recap my journey to embracing these themes, what changes I made, what their effect was (including men who became suspicious) and end with the sentiment that not all negative reactions are an indication that you need to be healed.
Remember that one quote? Your reaction says more about you and less about me. Don’t get caught up in other's perceptions. They’ll throw mental hooks in your water, fishing for a reaction. But nothing for you to do other than catch and release baby.
