Desires & Expectations

The Mismatch

This post is inspired from my Instagram story. I shared my observation that attractive qualities in the opposite sex are not just reserved for you. Here I’m expanding my thoughts:

  • Recognizing what you appreciate in your significant other, will show up in other places and with other people (it’s not just yours to experience)

    • Examining insecurity and immaturity

  • Being honest about whether your expectations match the reality

    • Many times we don’t realize what is behind the looks, money, or lifestyle. We assume it’s delivered immediately and on demand.

      • In actuality there are systems, routines and habits behind these desires that we don’t consider. If it’s your true desire, are you okay committing to the process? Or only the outcome?

  • My opinion on women identifying as “brats”

    • Gratitude being the missing component

  • Belief that desires are meant to be infinite, but not forgetting the human engagement is finite

  • Sharing two of my personal desires with my own reality checks

    • Where I’ve had to reset my expectations

Author’s note: If you’re interested in improving these themes personally, feel free to email me to schedule wellness consulting

Eleanor has been referred to as a mind reader on more than one occasion. But she thinks of herself as a subconscious translator. The Conversationalist was born to reveal what's been concealed, not only in mass media but also your personal psychology. A show for sophisticated thinkers who braid in spirituality along with way.
