Which Environment Brings Out Your Archetype?
The Place Where You Stand
One of the best things about my platform is connecting with other students of Ayesha K Faines.
One in particular asked me an insightful question I would like to cover here:
What are the environments one should be in to bring out each archetype?
I answered using Ayesha’s framework (which I can send to any of you) but want to answer using the Femme Fatale Archetypes:
Scarlett - where passion meets invitation
Holly - where comfort meets risk
Lacey - where naughty meets nice
Vivica - where vanity meets ride or die
Lyla - where desire meets mystery
Jackie - where dom meets sub
Elaine - where yearning meets tease
Now, I could have answered this question very differently. I had the option to list locations. I could even up the ante and include what to wear and how to act.
Maybe Scarlett would be at a piano bar in a red dress with a high slit, sipping a cocktail with red lipstick on the rim, not really looking at anyone while everyone is looking at her.
Maybe Vivica boasts a diamond choker with an up due at a political gala with powerful guests. Walking around the room as a social butterfly but secretly in control of every interaction.
Maybe Jackie is the tom boy at the mechanic shop, sexy as hell in her jumpsuit and combat boots. Doesn’t take any shit, pops bubble gum and knows how to make a man sweat out of nerves and with desire.
And I could package this to all of you. Paint a sexy picture and tell you all the accessories to wear, places to show up and people to start talking to.
That instruction manual would sell itself.
But here’s where I differ from 99.9% of the internet.
I don’t tell you what to do or how to do it.
I tell you what’s underneath it.
There’s countless transformation packages and protocols outlining step-by-step what to do, when to do it and for how long. They all miss the most vital component in “changing who you are” “switching identities” “acting as if”.
It’s not a belief. It’s not an action. It’s not a future version of yourself. It’s not a lifestyle. It’s not a feeling. It’s not the imagination.
It’s a desire.
It’s accepting a desire within you and knowing that it could create worlds and wreak havoc.
Another way to conceptualize this is “motivation”. The desire is the wish fulfillment, but do you allow yourself to be moved by it? To emote it? To animate? Anima meaning spirit, soul. Do you allow the spirit of the character or desire to transmit and express itself fully? Or are you afraid?
It’s not an intellectual exercise. But a somatic practice. A current that expresses through the body as pleasure and danger.
To circle back:
What are the environments one should be in to bring out each archetype?
Your body.
That’s the environment where every one will flourish or never see the light of day.
It won’t matter if you go to the piano bar in the sexiest lingerie you have with the dress of life time if you’re disconnected to your body.
It won’t matter if you go to a prestigious dinner dripping in diamonds around power if you fear your personal power.
It won’t matter if you lap the boys in performance, 100 pounds lighter than every man in the room if you withdraw from your greatness.
The disconnection you want to soothe with clothes won’t work. The social circle to prove your own authority won’t work. The accolades to validate your capability won’t work.
What does?
Accepting the desire. And deciding how to move with it.
Allowing the desire for male attention to animate through your body. Allowing the desire to proclaim your power to animate through your body. Allowing the desire of recognition to animate through your body.
This is the difference between every day women and the femme fatale. This is the difference between women who are caged and women who are free.
The Femme Fatale is brazen enough to have every set of eyes on her when she walks in the room. She’s got the nerve to control an elite circle with the subtleties of her presence. She has the pluck to smile in your face and out do the masculine in his domain, winking at his surprise.
We know her animation has resulted in countless opinions and names. And we’ve all received our own set of labels from another’s perception: intimidating, emotional, stuck up, withdrawn, modest, clingy, aggressive, unbothered.
Want to know the secret? You don't have to change any of these attributes. You just have to own them so they don't own you.
And this ladies in gentlemen, is where we birth our personal power.
