Countless theories exist on where you go after this life
The common thread they all share…
It’s based on your decisions
The choices you made
The free will you exercised
The crossroads you faced
There’s even more speculation on how to count up the tallies of right & wrong
I’m not big on checklists in terms of worth.
But … there is something for us to note in regards to the heart …
The decisions won’t always be clean, holy or perfect.
They’re tangled, complex and contradictory.
To me… it’s not about proving God, Divinity or Holiness was running the show 100% of the time.
It’s your return to God.
It’s your come up story.
It’s your revelation to the greatness within and around.
That’s what’s being measured. The tallies represent how you handled the space in between.
And when you veered too far off the path, were you able to close that gap more frequently… and a little quicker than before…
Decisions in this life aren’t meant to measure perfection. They’re here to create opportunities of self-realization.
Did you get dirty, messy and make mistakes because you lived a full life?
One with your heart behind it?
Did you get grimy, backwards and questionable only to find your heart in the obscene?
Did you get careless and reckless to unexpectedly uncover the heart of another?
Did your heart shamble into smithereens for the risk of love mixed with sin?
Did you contradict loving someone tenderly in a horrendous world?
Did your love defy odds by fiercely protecting the innocent while snarling your teeth?
Did you decide to let heart ache run the show, wreaking havoc only to uncover miracles beneath the surface?
Did your heart find another and start to beat as one instead of two?
I have more thoughts but I’ll leave you with this.
Free will is the state of glory for your soul.
If you explored the depths of darkness, the corners of atrocity or the evil and danger that exists within you….
And in those times… you made it back to the other end of this polarity….
Unbeknownst to you, tipping the scales until they balanced is the proof of your divinity.
