I recorded this video last New Year’s and the message still stands. :)
The biggest guise in the fitness industry (and all modern-day marketing) is the quick fix. It’s ironic they sell you a solution but leave you ill-equipped.
Yes. You have the app with video demonstrations. Yes. You have meal plans with Pinterest boards and recipes. And yes. Maybe even access to a facebook group.
All components I acknowledge are needed.
But why isn’t it working?
Because they’re cutting a bouquet of roses and selling that. What you need to know is the soil, environment and upkeep of what produced the flowers.
Getting your hands dirty is required for lasting change. Putting your health in order includes - acknowledging thought patterns, unsupportive circles, and emotional coping mechanisms, just to name a few.
Once you address the mental and emotional ecosystem that created your body, then you instill discipline to clean out and upkeep your new garden.
Unfortunately the fitness industry doesn’t teach you how to be a gardener, but they’ll sell you a vase and flowers. Honestly, some people are only interested in that. They don’t want to put their hands in the dirt and are left to reckon the reality that the flowers die after a short while.
And that’s okay. But if you feel like something isn’t adding up with the bodies, programs and your personal results …. You’re not crazy. You’re onto something. Check out my video below for more details.
I am currently on-boarding clients for health and wellness consulting. Sessions are virtual one hour calls. The purpose is to create a system (movement, eating & discipline) that results in success for your personal goals, while addressing the hurdles that have been in your way. This is my way of serving people that’s meaningful to me and eliminates the limitations I had as a personal trainer. We get to the root of the issue and proceed from there. If this speaks to you or know someone else who could benefit, reply to this email and feel free to pass along.

Author’s note: If you’re interested in learning more about how to apply these concepts personally, feel free to email me to schedule health & wellness consulting
